Well I have been trying to create my own crafting area. I have a large window in my room which needed some curtains. I searched and searched for the perfect fabric to make a statement since the window is BIG. I really didnt want to pay 7.99 a yard for specialty fabric.

So, when you cant find what you want, make it!!!!! What else is a girl to do!!!! I was in Joanns and spotted that their felt was 2.99 a yard and it was the perfect width!!! It was meant to be!!!!

Now how to make it my own....hmmmmm. Ah ha....I searched for the perfect tool..I used a top to one of my bead jars and hot glued a wood knob to it. Homemade stamper!!!!!

Then I got busy stamping. I stamped and stamped and stamped!!! Oh, I used simple craft acrylic paint for the dots.

After my dots where all dry, I used those ring curtain clippy things and just clipped them to my fabric and hung them on my curtain rod.

Next I stood back and admired!!!! Ahhhhh.......perfect!!!!!!!

When you cant find what you want, MAKE IT!!!!!! Love my new curtains!!!!

Laundry room redo--first the curtains

I have been seeing all the beautiful laundry rooms from other bloggers and mine definately needed a new look! I didnt take pics before so I apologize.

Over the window, was an outdated ivy green and white valance( from my 90's style decorating). It was just serving a purpose! I put it out of its misery...gave it a good and needed washing and off to goodwill. Anyway, the other curtain covers up a large shelf full of boxes and such.

Both curtains where NOT sewed!!! I ironed the edges over and HOT GLUED them! Then I hung a curtain rod over the window and used a tension rod over the shelf. I used those rings with the clippy things and clipped them up!!! Easy peasy! I used satin ribbon and clipped it up as well to get that "gathered" look. The pic makes the ribbon look like leather but it is satin ribbon. I do plan on taking the blind down, I just haven't had a chance!

After Christmas wind down

Well all the decorations are down and put away. Now on to other things. Christmas comes and goes so quickly we dont always take the time to think about things that are important. Family is the most important thing in our lives. So many people take that for granted. All of us know of someone who isnt speaking to someone in their family for some crazy reason. How childish is that??? At the end of the day all we have is family. I do have great friends that I consider family and I wouldnt give anything for them. The things that separate these friends and family from the other people is that they except us for who we are. We dont have to pretend to be something we arent. I have come to the point in my life that I really dont care if someone doesnt like me. I am me. Take it or leave it. Not everyone I meet will like me and it is ok. It isnt my job to "make" someone like me. It will be ok. Family just accepts us as we are. Good friends do too. They "get" us. So if you are one of the people that I mentioned that arent speaking to a family member due to something petty....let it go. Life is too short. So go and live life to the fullest and love life to the fullest!!!!!!!

I have found a website called picnik. It lets you upload your pics and "play" with them. You can add special effects, color, draw on them and such. I wasted more time doing that today!!! LOL Oh well sometimes you just need to waste a little time.

3-2-1 blog off!!!!!

Well after reading and following several blogs, I decided to create my own. I never understood what a "blog" was for but now I understand. It is my own little place to "just be". Here there is no pretending to be someone else. I can just be myself. Isnt that what everyone just really wants??? Just to be me. Even if I am the only one whoever reads this!!! It is just for me.

I hope that I can keep coming here and putting down my thoughts and adventures in life. I hope if you are following me, that you can come and enjoy my "middle ground" area of the web!!!! Thanks for looking into my world!!!!!
