I love owls. I came across this tutorial with a pattern. http://http://ashbyfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2010/02/easy-owl-pattern-and-tutorial-win-one.html
I have bookmarked it in my favorites and today I decided to try it. I made the black one first. I then made one for a dear friend of mine's daughter. She loves peace symbols so I cut out a peace symbol on my cricut. This was the first time to cut fabric with my cricut. Loved it! It did great! My friend Rhonda did it first so I had to try it! ;) Her daughter is the proud owner of Peacie. That is what I named the orange one. Hehe
Then I made one for my 4 year old the red one. The last one I made, I made for my hubby's man cave. Alabama of course! Got to love the houndstooth! I also cut the "A" out with my cricut. ( Thanks Rhonda! Love ya!) So the them of this day is:
Whooooooooo is #1????????
ALABAMA of course!!!!
Be sure and visit Toad's Treasures for the pattern! Thanks for looking!
How cute...thanks so much for sharing!

Very cute! ROLL TIDE!!
ReplyDeleteVery Cute! I found your hounds tooth owl here http://ashbyfamilyblog.blogspot.com/2010/02/easy-owl-pattern-and-tutorial-win-one.html and had to follow it back to its origin. I figured we must be neighbors of sorts. My family and I are from lower Alabama and I love finding blogs of people close by...especially ones sporting the right colors. Roll Tide! ;0)
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks for the shout out! I love your owls...especially with the "A"! Such a cute idea.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
